EMSELLA® For Leaky Bladder

Pelvic floor issues such as a leaky bladder can be a problem for both men and women. Postpartum women can experience a great deal of incontinence and sexual dysfunction after delivery. Men face similar issues, with ED and incontinence being prevalent in those who have a weak pelvic floor. Here at Tracy & Keim Chiropractic, we provide treatment for both men and women. Our EMSELLA® treatments are an ideal way of strengthening your muscles, regaining control, and restoring your sexual function – all without surgery or downtime!

Choose EMSELLA® for Sexual Dysfunction & Leaky Bladder Treatments

EMSELLA®is a breakthrough treatment for leaky bladder (aka overactive bladder or OAB) and can help you regain your confidence. This unique technology revolutionizes intimate health and wellness by providing those suffering from incontinence with a completely non-invasive option. The device works by contracting pelvic floor muscles with high intensity, improving their strength and function. Greater strength means greater control and reduced leakage. To date, there have been 5 clinical studies published on EMSELLA®. These studies confirm that 95% of patients report an improved quality of life and a 75% pad reduction after trying this treatment.

Sexual Dysfunction & Leaky Bladder Treatments

This treatment also serves as an excellent option for addressing sexual dysfunction in both men and women. By contracting the pelvic floor muscles, EMSELLA® triggers the production of new fibroblasts and collagen in the area. This improves blood flow in men and forms new vaginal tissue in women. Intimate function is improved, and heightened sexual sensation can be experienced.

What Are the Signs of Pelvic Floor Issues?Signs of Pelvic Floor Issues

A weak pelvic floor after childbirth can lead to a leaky bladder, urinary incontinence, lower back pain, painful urination, and constipation. Men can experience similar symptoms, often having unexpected leakage, especially while engaging in physical activity. Erectile dysfunction is also common in men with a weak pelvic floor. Both men and women can also experience back pain due to muscle weakness. Thankfully, EMSELLA® has been shown to address all of these issues.

EMSELLA®Treatments

EMSELLA® uses high-frequency electromagnetic stimulation (HIFEM) to stimulate and strengthen your pelvic muscles for an effect thousands of times more potent than any kegel workout. This procedure is non-invasive and doesn’t cause any pain or downtime.

At Tracy & Keim Chiropractic, we provide the care and attention you need to regain your control and confidence. Each consultation is done to give us a thorough understanding of what you’re going through and give you the care you deserve.

What Causes Pelvic Floor Issues?

Pelvic floor issues can arise in women who are overweight, have chronic constipation, have a chronic cough from smoking, or have had certain health complications. If you are pregnant, having a weak pelvic floor could cause preterm labor and urinary incontinence.

A weak pelvic floor can occur after you give birth too. This is due to damage incurred by the levator ani muscle. This muscle supports the vagina and pelvic organs along with maintaining urinary and bowel continence. As a woman enters her third trimester and prepares for birth, this muscle becomes strained to support the baby’s growth and delivery. After giving birth, many women strain this muscle even further, causing long-lasting incontinence issues.

In men, weak pelvic floor issues can be caused by trauma, surgery, long-duration sitting, and heavy lifting. A sudden increase in activity levels, certain infections, and even stress can also play a contributing role in the exacerbation of this issue.
