Megan Wagner, D.C.
Hello! I am Dr. Megan Wagner. I grew up in southeastern Wisconsin and moved to Eugene in late 2009. My chiropractic journey began while I was doing my undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I was working on my degree in Kinesiology-Exercise Science. I was interested in the health care field, but medical school and doling out prescriptions didn’t interest me one bit.
All of my classes seemed to suggest that the human body is a machine that runs optimally when functioning correctly. Never having had exposure to chiropractic, I was curious about it so I did some inter-net research. What I found was the chiropractic philosophy: The body can heal itself as long as the nervous system (really your body’s communication system) is working properly. Aha! This was totally in alignment with everything that I was learning!
Following graduation in 2004, I worked for a chiropractic office in Wisconsin for two years to learn as much as I could about the profession. I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa from 2006 to 2010. I was a teaching assistant there in the anatomy lab and in several technique classes. The last semester of graduate school I spent here in Eugene doing an internship with Dr. Tracy. She has been my mentor ever since, and I love it here in Eugene.
I really enjoy working to get patients well. I specialize in gentle adjusting techniques, including Diversified, Thompson drop, Applied Kinesiology, Toggle Recoil, and some Activator and Gonstead methods. Also, I use Trigenics soft tissue techniques to work out shortened or weak muscles. I am especially good at relieving low back pain and headaches. Give our friendly office staff a call to set up an appointment today to see if I can help you!
